Rosa Clifford is an emerging composer, researcher and music administrator. Rosa recently completed a Master of Music degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under Paul Stanhope and Liza Lim. Her research centred around the analysis of music in relation to shape, form, space and other visual elements. Her compositions are directly influenced by her research, incorporating elements of spatialisation and focusing on creating shapes and evolving textures. Rosa’s compositions have been performed by the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Symphony Orchestra and New Music Ensemble. Rosa has participated in composition development programs with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra and Australian Ballet.
Outside of composition, Rosa has volunteered with arts organisations such as Music Australia and Green Music Australia. Rosa also has a passion for the intersection between arts and health and worked as an editorial intern with the Arts Health Network of NSW and ACT.
