The Sydney Piano Marathon

COVID-19 may have put paid to the 2020 Sydney International Piano Competition taking place in July 2020 but we were thrilled to bring you The Sydney Piano Marathon instead.

From Thursday 23 July, 7.30pm AEST to Sunday 26 July, viewers from around the world joined us for a 69.5 hour running webstream of the entire 2016 competition right here on our website. We saw every competitor, every round as well as fresh content from some of our 2016 laureates, our 2020 competitors and other friends and supporters of The Sydney.

Our video production partners 5Stream very generously donated their services to make this Marathon possible, as well as other valued partners. This way, we continued to stay true to our mission of supporting the world’s greatest young musicians as they embark on their performance careers.
