Yasuko Furumi, originally from Kanagawa, Japan, began playing the piano at the age of six. She is a graduate of Shōwa Academia Musica in Kawasaki where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2020 and her Master’s degree in 2022. She is currently continuing her studies at Shōwa Graduate School of Music with Professor Fumiko Eguchi.

Since her first solo recital in 2014 in Tokyo, she has performed in numerous concert halls in Japan, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and United States including music festivals such as the 74th Duszniki International Chopin Piano Festival and the 28th Young Praha. She has collaborated with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Gunma Symphony Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Seto Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.

She released her debut CD album from Opus One Label of Nippon Columbia in January 2019.
