With a repertoire of thirty-five piano concerti, Clemens Leske has performed with all six Australian symphony orchestras and played in venues in Spain, the UK, the US, New Zealand, Singapore, Hungary and China. He has appeared regularly with the Australian String Quartet, as soloist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Offspring, and the Moscow Virtuosi. Albums of the works of Schumann, Chopin, and little known composer William Duckworth will be released shortly. Leske enjoys his work in teaching and research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he has just completed a PhD on the ‘piano miniature’. Musical inspirations have included Erroll Garner, Sviatoslav Richter and his mother and father.
